Conditions We Treat with At-HomeKetamine Treatment

Ketamine opens a brief “window” of increased neuroplasticity in the brain. During this time, many people find it easier to step back from entrenched patterns of thinking, access buried emotions, and see their lives from a new perspective. Early research suggests that when ketamine is combined with structured psychotherapy, many patients experience deeper and more durable improvements in depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and overall functioning. Our model is built around ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP): medically supervised ketamine sessions paired with intentional preparation beforehand and integration therapy afterward. The goal is not just to feel better for a few days, but to help you translate the experience into lasting changes in mood, behavior, and quality of life.

Depression

Ketamine offers rapid relief for treatment-resistant depression, with many patients seeing improvement within hours or days. Combined with psychotherapy, it creates a window of increased neuroplasticity that makes therapeutic work more effective and lasting.

Anxiety

For anxiety that hasn't responded to SSRIs or traditional therapy, ketamine helps reduce hyperactive fear responses while promoting mental flexibility. Combined with psychotherapy, it helps patients break persistent patterns of rumination and avoidance.

PTSD

Ketamine reduces emotional reactivity to traumatic memories, creating psychological distance needed for safe reprocessing. This makes trauma-focused therapy more tolerable and effective for patients with PTSD that hasn't responded to traditional approaches.

The Way We Work

Interested in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy but want to learn more?

Get in touch, and a Nomad representative will answer any questions you may have.

Get in touch today and we’ll schedule an initial evaluation with a Nomad Clinician. During your appointment, your Nomad Clinician will review your medical history, discuss your goals of treatment, and help determine if Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is right for you.

Nomad typically prescribes six Ketamine treatment sessions over the course of three weeks. This treatment regimen is considered the “gold standard” and has the most supporting clinical evidence.

We offer Intramuscular (IM) injections, administered by a Registered Nurse in your home or your therapist’s office. IM injections offer near perfect bioavailability, meaning almost 100% of the dose reaches its intended target. Work with a Nomad representative to schedule your medication sessions. From there, be sure to coordinate with your therapist to ensure your Preparation and Integration sessions occur in a timely manner relative to your medication session. This ensures the maximum therapeutic outcome of your treatment.

If you don’t yet have a therapist or would like to work with one specialized in KAP, reach out to our Nomad Network.

At the appointed time, a Nomad Registered Nurse will arrive at your home or therapist’s office and begin your session.

It will start with centering on your goals of care, and your nurse will take basic vitals.

After administering your medication, your Nomad Nurse will periodically check vitals and ensure you experience no complications. Should any adverse event arise, your clinical team is on standby to address any issues.

After your session, your Nomad Nurse will again check vitals to ensure a return to baseline, before updating your record and wrapping up your session.
