Medication Management

In-Office and Telehealth Medication Management

Managing prescription medications can involve questions, changes, and ongoing conversations about what is working for you. Medication Management provides a dedicated setting to review your medications, discuss concerns, and make informed decisions about your care.

At Nomad Therapeutics, we offer Medication Management both in office and via telehealth

What Is Medication Management?

Medication management is ongoing healthcare focused on the safe and appropriate use of prescribed medications. Because medications can affect people differently, regular review can help identify questions or concerns that deserve attention.

Depending on your individual needs, medication management may include:

  • Reviewing your current medications
  • Discussing how you are responding to treatment
  • Talking about side effects or other concerns
  • Reviewing prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or supplements you take
  • Considering possible medication interactions
  • Discussing whether changes to your medication plan may be appropriate

The specifics of medication management depend on the individual. Medication decisions should be made with a qualified healthcare professional rather than by starting, stopping, or changing a prescription on your own.

Medication Management In Office or via Telehealth

We offer two ways to access Medication Management: in-office appointments and telehealth appointments.

In-office care provides a face-to-face option. Telehealth allows you to meet remotely while still having a dedicated appointment for medication-related care.

The right format may depend on your circumstances and preferences.

Why Ongoing Medication Review Matters

Medication needs may change over time. Side effects, medication interactions, questions about how a medication is working, or changes in your overall health can all be important topics to discuss with a healthcare professional.

Keeping an accurate medication list is also an important part of medication safety, particularly when you take more than one prescription or also use over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or supplements.

Medication management creates an opportunity to review these factors and discuss medication-related decisions based on your individual situation.
